For anyone who doesn't already know, I am one of six girls girls travelling to Malawi, Africa, to work for 8 weeks this summer. We are part of the Ottawa Student Health Initiative, a charitable organization made up of University of Ottawa students in the faculties of medicine, health sciences, and nursing, who are interested in promoting health at an international level.
Four weeks from today we will be flying out of the Ottawa International Airport; destination -Lilongwe, Malawi, and I'm sooooooo excited!! It has been a long six months of fundraising, but as we are nearing departure I thought it was time to start my blog. I'd like to keep this updated throughout my time away so that everyone can know what we're doing and hopefully see some pictures too.
